I just love Halloween! I am not into all the scary stuff. I just like to see how excited the kids get about costumes, candy, and parties at school. So fun!
I have a pretty busy day today since my family is leaving this afternoon to go to my parent’s house and stay the night. Packing over night bags for a family of 6 (including the Halloween costumes and treat bags) is no easy task! But I wanted to quickly show you some Halloween projects that I made duing the month…
First is this cute Frankenstein Halloween box…
.jpg)
I bought the green take out box from Michaels for like 25 cents. Then I decorated it with some hand cut black cardstock for hair and some circle punches for the eyes and nose. The mouth and the star were made with a sharpie marker. This box is perfect for some Halloween cookies, a cupcake, or a bunch of candy. So cute!
Next I have a Halloween card that I completly CASED from another blog. I cannot for the life of me remember which blog as I have no many blogs I like to visit. I will look for it as soon as I get a moment so I can give credit where credit is due. If it is you- let me know!
.jpg)
The swirly circles are from the set Tasty Sweet. It is not just for Halloween though! Those swirls would be great on lots of projects! The patterned paper is from the Ghostly Greetings pack, the ribbon is tangerine Tango and the card base in Basic Gray.
Finally, so you remember THIS post where I showed you how to make a pencil pouch? Well here is what 45 pouches look like when they are finished!!!
.jpg)
It really wasn’t that bad! My kiddos helped me by putting all the pencils in them and my son was on cloud 9 about bringing them to his friends at school!
I also made 70 small goodie bags (with ribbon and a hand stamped tag) for the girls’ classes. But I didn’t have time for a picture : (
I have recently had a few people ask "Where are the pictures of your kids?" I actually stared a FAMILY BLOG to keep these pictures since this site is mostly stamp projects! You are welcome to check it out and thanks for asking about them!
Have a happy and safe Halloween! I will have more for you on Monday!

Two Page Boo!
Filed Under Big Shot, Club Project, Halloween, Holiday Mini Catalog, Pictures of the kids, Scrapbooking | 1 Comment
Every month my scrapbook clubs get to make a 2 page 12×12 scrapbook layout for FREE! This month I CASED myself and made THIS layout into a 2 page spread.

Here is a closer look at each page…

Here is a close up of those 1/2 inch journaling strips that I seem to use on almost every layout these days…

Aren’t those pumpkins cute?! They are from the set Halloween Frights in the Holiday Mini. The black cat is from the same set.
Here are a couple of notes about how I made the layout…
- I heat embossed the title and the black cat. I stamped the images in Black Craft ink and then embossed with black embossing powder.
-The star in the title was made with the Big Shot, chipboard and a scrap of summer sun cardstock. I glued the cardstock on to a small piece of chipboard and then ran it through my Big Shot with the star die.
-Those cute girls in the pictures are my three year old twins- Danika and Makenzie!
Recipe:
Stamps: Well-Worn Alphabet, Halloween Frights (#111766, $15.95)
Paper: Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper (#112463, $9.95), Basic Black, Whisper White, Summer Sun
Ink: Black Craft, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Heat Tool, Black Embossing Powder, Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon, 3/4 inch circle punch, Black Marker, Chipboard, Big Shot, Star Die

Filed Under Christmas, Digi Scrapping, Scrapbooking | 3 Comments
Ok I don’t normally post at night. And I don’t do a whole lot of digital scrapbooking. But I did make a layout today and I am just so darn excited that I have to show you now!!!
This morning I had the honor of taking photos of a friend’s 2 month old twins. I am not a profesional photographer- but I do enjoy taking and editing pictures and I have started to get a few customers!
So the picture on this layout is just one of the cute photos I took today!

Isn’t she yummy?!!! The layout is on a piece of white digital paper and since my screen is white- I think that is hard to tell. Don’t forget that I am very new to digi scrapping. Go easy on me! I took an online class with Jessica Sprague and I had to re-do the class assignment several times!!!
I am going back to my photo editing but I hope you enjoy this litle cutie!

Same Sketch- New Layout!
Filed Under Pictures of the kids, Scrapbooking | 2 Comments
I loved the sketch I used on THIS Halloween layout so much that I decided to use it again on some cute pics of my son!

I used chipboard from the Lots of Letters pack again for my title. I just moved it to the bottom of the layout this time.

And I used stips of cardtsock again for my journaling!

I changed the whole color scheme, the patterned paper, added some ribbon and brads and moved my titile. But it was so easy to make since I copied the general layout!!!
Here is my scrapbooking tip for you today (even though you didn’t ask!): Don’t start from scratch every time!!! If you make a layout that you like- check your stack of photos that need to be scrapped and see if you have other that would fit in the same sketch! Use different paper and embelishments and it will look different!
When I am in a rel scrapping slump- I pull out my own scrapbooks and look for a layout that I can CASE!
Go get scrappin!!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: NONE!
Paper: Murifield DSP, Very Vanilla, Pacific Point
Ink: Pacific Point (to ink up the chipboard)
Other: Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbons, Brads, Old Olive Marker, Sponge Dauber, Lots of Letters Chipboard

Scary!!!
Filed Under Halloween, Holiday Mini Catalog, Pictures of the kids, Scrapbooking | 4 Comments
Do you find scrapbooking to be a scary task? I know that a lot of people do. In my monthly newsletter I have been including a series on scrapbooking. So if you need a little extra help- please be sure to sign up for my email newsletter in the top left bar. Also- I have a monthly scrapbooking classes and I would love to have you join us!
So here is my Scary page…

It is a 12×12 layout which is my very favorite size to work with. And it is only a 1 page layout because I only had a few pictures I wanted to include so I didn’t want to drive myself crazy trying to fill the space on 2 pages!
I LOVE the layout of the pictures and the patterned paper on this one. It is very clean and yet it shows off that patterned paper that I so love!!!
Here is a close up of the title. It is chipboard (Lot of Letters pack) that I inked up with a black craft pad.

I ALWAYS include some sort of journaling on my scrapbook layouts. I don’y just want to glue pictures to paper and not tell my kid’s the stories behind the pictures. My favorite way to add journaling right now is on 1/2 inch stripes of cardstock. And I think that the journaling on this page will really tell my kids what I was thinking when I asw these adorable pictures…

The pictures were taken just a couple of weeks ago. Now don’t get me wrong- I have hundreds of pictures from the last several years that are not scrapped yet. But I was moer inspired by these new pictures- so I went with it. Often if I force myself to scrap pictures that I am not inspired by- it takes FOREVER to finish the layout! This one only took me about 30 minutes and that includes the time designing and picking pictures. My advice to those struggling with their scrapbooks- don’t worry about "catching up." Just tell the stories that are most important to you right now!
That’s enough from me!!! I will be back on Monday. Have a great weekend!
Recipe:
Stamps: Halloween Frights
Ink: Basic Black, Black Craft
Paper: Ghostly Greetings DSP, Basic Black, Whisper White
Other: Balck Marker, Lots of Letters Chipboard
