As soon as I saw this plate project demonstrated at Stampin’ Up! convention- I knew that I needed to make one!!! And I couldn’t just stop at one! I had to make a Christmas one too! And it just so happens that I have written a tutorial on how to decorate this glass plates and I will be sharing it in 2 weeks with those who are on my newsletter list! I have been sending them holiday tutorials every week! If you want to be a part of it- just sign up in the top left corner of this blog.

Anyway….here is my Halloween Treat plate…

I used glue dots to adhere the cardstcock and patterned paper to the bottom of the plate, so I can put cookies or other goodies on top of the plate.

Recipe:

Stamps: Tasty Sweet

Paper: Ghostly Greetings, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black

Other: Clear glass plate from Wal-Mart ($1.99)

Here is my 2nd project for today. Make sure you check out the card in the last post!

For this project I used a shet of Chipboard (which Stampin’ Up! sells) and the Top Note Die in the Big Shot to make a picture frame!

I cut a piece of the chipboard down to 6×7. I cut a piece of patterned paper to the same size and glued it on with Stampin’ Up! 2 way glue. Then I positioned the Top Note die in the center and sent it through the Big Shot. Voila!

The picture is of my very sweet Laynee when she was swimming in our kiddie pool in the backyard last month. I just love the look on her face!

Here is a view from the back. I just trimmed a 2 x 5 piece of chipboard, covered it with cardstock, scored it at 1/2 inch and then attached it to a piece of cardstock cut to 6×7 with a coupe brads.

Frames like this would be a very inexpensive holiday gift!!! All products used are made by Stampin’ Up! and can be purchased online! Just click on the "Shop" tab above to see how! And you can also click on the Sissix Tab to learn more about the the Big Shot machine and my special incentive for those who purchase it from me!

I have 2 projects to share today: a card and a 3d! I am going to do two separate posts. First, here is the card…

It’s really a very simple card- but that is my style really! The only thing I wanted to mention is that the button does not have thread through it. I don’t even think I own thread!!! I judt cut a tiny sliver of Whisper White cardstock and threaded it through the holes. Then I attached the button with a small piece of demensional since I had popped up the square.

Recipe:

Stamps: Say it with Scallops

Paper: Washington Apple DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White

Ink: Pumpkin Pie

Other: Square Scallop Punch, 1 1/4 inch square punch, Pumpkin Pie ribbon, Blus Gingham Ribbon, Corner Rounder, Bashful Blue Button

Thanks for all the sweet somments on my blog candy post!!!

I thought that is I asked you if you liked cards, scrapbook pages, or 3d items- I would have a better idea what types of projects to post more often on my blog. But it turns out- that you guys like them all!!! I guess I have to keep making a little of everything! No problem!!

Ok the winning number for the blog candy was 51. The winner is Sarah:

"I just love your blog! It’s so hard to pick a favorite project. I am absolutely drawn to your scrapbook pages. They’re always great! I love all of your other stuff too, though. There is never a bad post. :)

Happy Friday!!! It has been ages since I have given away any blog candy. So today is the day! This is my way of thanking you for coming to my new blog and leavilng such sweet comments! But before I get to the candy…I want to show you my Festive Friday project. Thanks to the incredibly talented Lauren Meader- I have made a fun cup holder with hot chocolate and marshmellows!

Isn’t it adorable?! I think this would be a fabulous hostess gift for Holiday parties or even a fun teacher gift. The Mr. Twigster stamp set is just too darn cute! I filled the cello bags with hot chocolate mix and large marshmellows and then just tied it closed with some Old Olive ribbon. I covered the cups with some pretty Designer series paper. If you have never covered cups with paper before- here is a tip: Take an extra cup and cut it done the seem on the side. Cut the bottom of the cut off. Now use this as a template and trace it onto your patterned paper.

Recipe:

Stamps: Mr. Twigster, Many Merry Messages

Paper: Ski Slope Designer Series Paper, Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black, Old Olive

Other: Circle Scallop Punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, white gel pen, real red and Pumpkin Pie Markers, Small Felt Flurries, Real Red Button, Old Olive Ribbon, Disposable cups (bought at Target), hot chocolate mix, and Large Marshmellows

Now on to the blog candy!!!!

Would you like to win a pack of Stampin’ Up! Designer Series paper?!!! Of course you would!!! There are so many adorable prints! All you have to do to win is leave a comment on this post. If you want- tell me which type of project you liek the most- cards, scrapbook pages, or 3d projects. Leave your comment by 8AM MST on Monday, October 20th. I will anounce my winner Monday! Good luck!

The set Merry and Bright was my very favorite holiday stamp set last year so I was very excited to see it in the catalog this year!!! Don’t you love the snowman?!

I made the front of the card a half inch shorter than the back and used my scallop edge punch on it.

The patterned paper that I used is not your typical patterned paper! It is from the pack called Muirfield. I used the same paper for my Big Bold Birthday card on Monday!

Recipe:

Stamps: Merry & Bright

Paper: Muirfield DSP, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss

Ink: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss

Other: Scallop Edge Punch, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Blender Pen, Circle Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, Word Window Punch

I am working ona digi album for a gift. It is not easy!!!! Most of the time I could make the layouts faster with real paper and some adhesive! But I am learning!!!! I actually took a class by Jessica Sprague and that is the only way I am able to make even this simple page!

The page was made with a kit called the Bella Collection. And the pictures are ones that I had taken when Laynee turned one. Aren’t they sweet?

So what do you think? Go easy on me! I am new to this stuff!!!

I have been having scrappers block for the past couple of weeks. But then yesterday afternoon I was flipping through the August Scrapbook Trends magazine (which I have a card published in!) and I saw a layout that stood out to me. And about 30 minutes later I had this layout complete. It looks nothing like the original except the placement of pictures!!!

I stamped my title in Black Craft Ink and then heat embossed it with black embossing powder. It just makes it stand out even more! The star (that mimicks the one on her dress) was cut with my Big Shot and some chipboard!

I love to add journaling on little 1/2 inch stripes of cardstock. I doodled on mine with a black marker and added a Pumpkin Pie brad to each one.

What do you think????!

Recipe:

Stamps: Well Word Alphabet

Ink: Black Craft

Paper: Ghostly Greeting Designer Series Paper, Basic Black, Whisper White, Summer Sun

Other: Big Shot, Star die, Black embossing powder, heat gun, pumpkin pie brads, clips assortment, Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon
