Christmas Bag in a Box
Filed Under 3D, Christmas, Holiday Mini Catalog | 2 Comments
I wanted to put together a quick gift for the 3 gals that work in the office at my kid’s school and I knew that Diana Gibb’s Bag in a Box tutorial would be perfect!!! (By the way, I have had the honor of taking a class from Di. She is amazing!)
I made my bags with the Ski Slope Designer Series paper, some felt flurries, and silver hodgepodge for the brad in the center.

Here is a closer look…

I filled my bags with all sorts of candy and a holiday flavored lip glass that I found at Target.
The gals in the front office loved them! People are always amazed by what you can do with paper!
Have a happy weekend!!! We will be busy as I am sure most everyone will be!

Big Shot Scrapbooking!
Filed Under Christmas, Club Project, Holiday Mini Catalog, Scrapbooking | 3 Comments
Sorry I am a little late posting this morning. It was such a crazy weekend- that never found time to take pictures of the scrap page I wanted to show you today. Now it is cloudy- so the picture isn’t the greatest, but I think you will get the idea!
This is the layout that my scrapbook club made yesterday afternoon…

And here are a couple close up shots…

The white that you see behind the photo of my son is actually an envelope. I licked and sealed it and then trimmed a half inch off the side. Now I have extra space to store pictures that didn’t fit on my layout!!!
You can’t see this too well in the picture, but I actually used the large and medium snowflake stamps from the Snow Swirled set to create my own background paper. I stamped them in Real Red ink on the Real Red cardstock. The I went back and added some dots with a white gel pen to help bring them out more. It looks nice IRL!
The title was cut with my Big Shot Die Cut Machine!!! And aren’t those felt flurries super cute?! They are available until January 17th in the Holiday Mini!
Recipe:
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Paper: Ski Slope DSP, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Other: Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Join in the Cheer Die, White Gel Pen, Scallop Edge punch, tab punch, 3/4 inch circle punch, Real Red Gingham Ribbon, Silver Cord, Medium Whisper White Envelope, Small and Large Felt Flurries

Ski Slope Bow
Filed Under 3D, Christmas, Holiday Mini Catalog | Leave a Comment
I have to admit that Ski Slope Designer Series paper did not really grab me when I first saw it in the Holiday Mini catalog. I ordered it anyway! lol! And I have to say, that it has totally grown on me! In fact, I am anxiously waiting for Mr. Brown to bring me another package (among other things!)
So today I am showing you a bow that I made with strips of Ski Slope Designer Series paper. I the moment I saw these demonstrated at convention a couple of years ago- I was in love! In case you were not there, their is a fantastic tutorial on splitcoast. Just click HERE to see it.
Here is my bow…

Now isn’t that so much nicer than a store bought bow?! And it was so easy to make!!! Give it a try!
And don’t forget that now is a fantastic time to place a stamp order! All orders over $70 will have free shipping! And you still have time to get your order before Christmas. Just click HERE to be taken to my website and then click on Shop Now in the top right corner.
Happy Stamping!

Small Pizza Box Tutorial
Filed Under 3D, Christmas, Holiday Mini Catalog, Tutorial | Leave a Comment
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! My family did lots of holiday stuff: we made gingerbread houses, went to an electric light parade and went to see Santa at the mall! It was fun (most of the time) but I am really looking foward to a relaxing night of watching Desperate Housewives tonight!!!
On Friday night, I had some of my downline over for some stamping. I will show you what we made tomorrow. Today- I want to show you the little candy boxes that I made to give to each of them! Plus I have a tutorial on how to make the box! So here is what the finished product looks like…

And when you slide the belly band off, this is what you find inside…

A peanutbutter cup!!! YUMMY!
Here is how you make the box:
Start with a piece of cardstock that is 6×4 correction!!! start with a 8×4 piece of cardstock!!!!
Score the long side at 1 and 5

Score the short side at 1, 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 7

Cut the tabs to the first score line. Do this for each one along both sides.

Add sticky strip to each of these tabs and assemble the box.

Now decorate!!! I used a 1×8 piece of the Frosty Day Designer Series Paper and some Bashful Blue striped ribbon to make a belly band! Then I stamped a fun little tag!
.jpg)
Aren’t they cute?! They fit the Reeses candy perfectly, but I also think they would be great for jewlery, gift cards, and lots of other small gifts!
Recipe:
Stamps: Holiday Lineup
Paper: Frosty Day Designer Series Paper, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Stampin’ Write Markers, Bashful Blue Striped Ribbon, Circle Scallop Punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch, White gel pen
I will be back tomorrow with pictures of my downline make-and-takes! Happy Stamping!

I have just a quick post for you today. I am actually leaving to drop kids off with grandparents and then go to a nice hotel in Scottsdale with my hubby!!! We will be celebating our 6th wedding anniversary tomorrow!
On to the stamping. I mad this cute clipboard photo frame quite a while back. It is sitting in my stamp room and I smile everytime I se my daughter’s sweet smile!!!

I got this clipboard for $1 at an office supply store and then just covered it with cardstock and some patterned paper from the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper pack. I added some ribbon and a Baja Breeze tab made with the punch. But my favorite part of the project (besides the sweet picture) is the hat pin with pearls that I got from the Pretties kit.

I have my clipboard frame displayed with a decorative plate holder. I can change the clipboard each season!!! This is a fun part of my holiday decor and a fabulous gift as well!
Don’t forget about the Holiday Extravaganza sale!!! I would hate for you to miss the opportunity to get some of your favorite stamp sets at 20-50% off!!! Click HERE for more details.
Ok- I am off to Scottsdale for a mini vacation!!!

Scott and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch last month and we had such a good time! I just printed the pictures so I thought I would work on getting some of them in the kids’ albums. Here is the layout I made for my son’s album…

It is a super simple layout!!! But it’s a 2 pager (for those that insist on only making 2 pagers!) and it has 8 pictures!!! I had planned on stamping some more embelishments- but they just didn’t seem to fit. So I just added a few brads to each page and called it done! Sometimes simple is exactly what you need!
Recipe:
Stamps: Well Worn Alphabet
Paper: Frost Day Designer Series Paper, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Other: Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Brads, 1/2 inch circle punch
You want in on a little secret???? Stampin’ Up is going to be having a big sale starting TOMORROW!!!! I don’t know all the details yet but I do know that they are going to have bundles of product discounted 20-50%!!! But there will only be a limited supply- so you will want to come back here on tomorrow for the details! And I am going to have a special gift for all those who make a purchase online during this promotion as well!!!

Simple Christmas Card!!!
Filed Under Cards, Christmas, Holiday Mini Catalog | 3 Comments
Have you decided on a design for your Christmas cards? If you have- then you are one step ahead of me!!! And if you are starting to wonder if you are going to have time to hand make your cards- then this card is just for you…

It’s very simple!!! But it is still much cuter than any store bought card, right?
I have seen lots of cards in the Splitcoast Gallery like this one and so I finally jumped on the band wagon and made one too!
The "ornament" is just a 1 3/4 circle punched out of the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. I drew the "String" with a black marker. I tied a bow with the Red Gingham ribbon and adhered to to the card with a glue dot. The sentiment was stamped in black and then I took a blender pen- dipped it in Real Red ink- and lightly ran it over the words "Merry Christmas." Done!!!
I hope that you enjoy! I have a lot of stamping to get done today! I have a tough job, huh?!
See you tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Table Decor
Filed Under 3D, Big Shot, Cards, Holiday Mini Catalog | 2 Comments
Do you guys ever visit Shelli Gardner’s blog? She is the Stampin’ Up CEO and co-founder. Recently she posted a link to a tv program that she was on where she made table settings for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. I was inspired!!! And so I made a Thanksgiving setting. Christmas will be coming soon…

Here is a close up of the napkin ring that is made from Kraft cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot with the Top Note die:

And here is what it looks like on the back side where I used Jumbo Eyelets and ribbon to tie it together…

Here is a look at the very simple name card that was also made with the Top Note Die and the Frosty Day Designer Series Paper…

And finally- here is a simple sour cream container that I made with a 4×4 piece of the same Frosty Day Designer Series paper…

It won’t even matter what you serve, if your table looks like this!! And all of these project are so quick and easy to reproduce!
Recipe:
Stamps: ABC Lower Alphabet
Paper: Frosty Day Designer Series Paper, Kraft, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust

Happy Thanksgiving!
Filed Under Cards, Holiday Mini Catalog | 2 Comments
It has been sooo long since I have stamped anything new : (
Yesterday I spent the day cutting paper for some upcoming parties. I was going to stamp when I finished, but it was 75 degrees out (20 degrees cooler than this time last week!) and so I decided to take the kids to the park instead!
The card I am showing you today is one of the make-and-takes at a workshop this weekend. I cased it completly from another stamper. I saved her picture and I just went and tried to read the watermark, so I could give her credit- but the watermark is so small and light that I can’t make it out all : ( So if you know who made this originally- let me know!!!
ETA: Here is the original! Thanks to my fabulous readers for helping me out!

This has to be the most simple card I have ever made! But I love it!!!
The pumpkin was made with the large oval punch. I sponged the edges of each oval and I popped up the middle layer. The stem is just a small piece of Chocolate Chip ribbon. The leaves are a piece of Old Olive ribbon in a knot.
I loved this card so much that it inspired me to make place cards and napkin rings with the same theme to make a complete Thanksgiving set. So tune in tomorrow for the rest! And don’t forget that you only have until tomorrow to order my Holiday Line Up Class by mail!

Stamps: Holidays & Wishes
Paper: Frosty Day Designer Series Paper, Kraft, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust
