Top Note Clutch Purse
Filed Under 3D, Big Shot, Stampin Up!, Tutorial | 3 Comments
After hours and hours of cleaning and organizing- I found a little time yesterday to craft!!! My room is still a bit messy. But I have taken lots of stuff out so I should be able to find a home for all the stuff that is currently littering my desk and floor!!!
Tomorrow, I am supposed to bring the ladies at my MOPS table a little gift. The theme of the gift is "something girly." My co table leader got them some lip gloss and nail polish and asked if I could make a box. Of course!!!! I think this top note clutch purse will fir the gift perfectly and it is very girly!!!

I used some tiny little maganets by Basid Grey to keep the purse closed…

Isn’t that fun?!!!!
I have seen lots of little purses and boxes in blogland- but I made mine up from my own crazy head. So here are the demensions.
-Start with a piece of cardstock that is 5×6
-Score along the 6 inch side at 1inch and 5 inches
-Score along the 5 inch side at 2 and 3
-Use sticky strip to put the box together.
-Use the Top Note die to cut the lid from DSP
-Score the top note at approx. 1 1/4 and 2 1/4
-Add large eyelets and a ribbon handle to the center of the top note
-Adhere to the back of the box with sticky strip.
-Add a small magnet to keep the purse closed.
-Decorate if desired!!!

Small Pizza Box Tutorial
Filed Under 3D, Christmas, Holiday Mini Catalog, Tutorial | Leave a Comment
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! My family did lots of holiday stuff: we made gingerbread houses, went to an electric light parade and went to see Santa at the mall! It was fun (most of the time) but I am really looking foward to a relaxing night of watching Desperate Housewives tonight!!!
On Friday night, I had some of my downline over for some stamping. I will show you what we made tomorrow. Today- I want to show you the little candy boxes that I made to give to each of them! Plus I have a tutorial on how to make the box! So here is what the finished product looks like…

And when you slide the belly band off, this is what you find inside…

A peanutbutter cup!!! YUMMY!
Here is how you make the box:
Start with a piece of cardstock that is 6×4 correction!!! start with a 8×4 piece of cardstock!!!!
Score the long side at 1 and 5

Score the short side at 1, 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 7

Cut the tabs to the first score line. Do this for each one along both sides.

Add sticky strip to each of these tabs and assemble the box.

Now decorate!!! I used a 1×8 piece of the Frosty Day Designer Series Paper and some Bashful Blue striped ribbon to make a belly band! Then I stamped a fun little tag!

Aren’t they cute?! They fit the Reeses candy perfectly, but I also think they would be great for jewlery, gift cards, and lots of other small gifts!
Recipe:
Stamps: Holiday Lineup
Paper: Frosty Day Designer Series Paper, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Stampin’ Write Markers, Bashful Blue Striped Ribbon, Circle Scallop Punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch, White gel pen
I will be back tomorrow with pictures of my downline make-and-takes! Happy Stamping!

Ok here is the bad news- I didn’t get to scrapbook yesterday afternoon : ( A customer came to pick up her order and then before I knew it I had to go get the kids from school. Last night I had a booth at a local craft fair- so no time to scrap then either. I do have pictures waiting to be picked up and that always gets me in a scrappy mood!
So do you want the good news? I have ANOTHER fun Halloween treat box to show you!!! The tutorial this week on Splitcoast was for a pizza box. It is large enough to hold 3×3 notecards. I made one of those and it got me thinking- if this was a little smaller it would be perfect for some candy. And so I got out some scrap paper and my paper scoring tool and came up with this box!

And here is what is inside…

Reeses Peanut Butter cups are mine and my husband’s very favorite candy!
Of course I had to use the Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper again with the Tasty Sweet Stamp set. I am so glad that I ordered both of these items as I have gotten a lot of use out of them!!! And I plan to use the stamp set for some Christmas things too as it does have other candy images!
I didn’t have time to make a tutorial with pictures for this one- but I will give you the demensions and I think you can figure it out as it is really easy!
Start with a piece of cardstock that is 6×8
Score it at 1, 3 1/2, 4 1/2, and 7
Turn the paper around and score at 1 and 5
Cut on the 1, 3 1/2, 4 1/2, and 7 score line until you get to the intersecting score line to create tabs.
Put sticky strip on the tabs to glue it together.
If you have problems or questions please leave me a comment. If a lot of people want more directions I will do a tutorial with pictures!
Happy stamping!

Holiday Treat Tutorial
Filed Under 3D, Big Shot, Christmas, Tutorial | 5 Comments
Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! My family did! The weather was in the 80’s which is amazing since it was over 100 a few days ago. So we went to the park a couple of times, took a walk at an outdoor mall, had a bbq, and we went and saw the movie Hollywood Chiwawa. You have to see the movie. I was cracking up the entire time. My kids thought I had lost my marbles!
Anyway- I have a surprise for you today! I have a tutorial for a project I showed you a couple of weeks ago. I have gotten so many questions about how to make it- that I have decided to share it with everyone!

Supplies you will need:
Instructions:
1. Score the Cardstock at 4 1/2 and again at 6 1/2. Use a bone folder on the fold lines to make the score nice and crisp.

2. Adhere the 3 14 x 4 1/4 piece of patterned paper to the panel that will be the front of the treat container. I am using Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper.

3. Fill a small cello bag with some candy and then staple it to the back panel of the treat container.

4. Run the 4×6 piece of patterned paper through the Big Shot with the Top Note die to make the "lid" for the container.

5. Fold the top note in half. Decorate the top note now if desired. You can add ribbon or a stamped image (you can add decoration to the front of the box as well if you wish.) I decorated my top note with a Felt Flurry from the Holiday Mini and a Rhinestone brad.

6. Apply adhesive to half of the top note (the half that will be attached to the back of the candy container to hide the staples.)

And that is all there is to it!!!!

These are so easy to make and re-produce! I made lots of them for Halloween with the Ghostly Greetings paper and the candy corn stamp from Tasty Sweet!
I hope this inspires you to make some treats of your own. If you do make one- send me the link in the comments section so I can see what everyone comes up with. I am so addicted to making candy containers lately : )
If you would like to purchase any of the supplies used to make this treat (except the candy!) please click on the Shop link at the top of my blog.
Happy Stamping!

I had several people ask for instructions on making the pencil box that I posted last week. So here they are!
Supplies needed:
11x 2 1/4 black cardstock
Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper: one that is 2x 3 3/4 and a second one that is 2 x 3
Halloween Frights Stamp set (coming out in the mini on Wednesday!)
Black Ink
1 inch circle punch
small tag punch
Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon
Silver Brads
Instructions:
1. Score the cardstock at 6 3/4 and again at 7. Fold on the score lines.

2. Add the larger piece of patterned paper to the front of the box and the smaller piece to the back inside panel.

3. Add a brad to each side of the front of the box to keep it closed.

4. Wrap Kiwi Kiss Ribbon around the box to hide the brads.

5. Use stamps and punches to decorate the front of the box. I attached my embellishments with demensionals.

Simple!!!! I can make 45 of these, right?!!! Did I mention that I have to make treats for 2 other classes as well?! CRAZY!!!
See you tomorrow!
